Raymond Kopetz, age 91, died in Hood River, Oregon on July 8, 2022.  He was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 8, 1931 to Steven and Anna (Holodowska) Kopetz. 

He graduated from Schurz High School in Chicago, and attended the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois.  He lived in numerous places throughout his life, including Los Angeles, CA; Wilmette, IL; Geneva, OH; Fairhope, AL; and Charlotte, NC. 

Raymond worked for many years at Fluor Corporation, and served on the faculty of DeVry Institute in Chicago. 

 Among his many interests were jazz music, history, and sailing.  He sailed Lake Michigan for many years and kept the memories forever in his heart. 

Raymond was a devoted husband to Vinette (Nickel), beloved father to Stephanie (Dennis) Dreyer and Peter (Audrey) Kopetz, and an absolutely adored Grampy to Helena Dreyer, Nicholas Dreyer, Vinette Caroline Kopetz, Emma Beckley and Lucy Beckley. He will be dearly missed.
