Nicholas James Courtney Spratt passed away on Wednesday, December 28^th, 2022, at MCMC in the Dalles, OR with his mother and beloved dog Lucky by his side. Nicholas was born March 28^th, 1980, in White Salmon, WA. He grew up in Wishram, WA, where he lived with his mother and step father Sandra and Mark Carter, and brother Joseph E Spratt. After high school Nicholas went to Bellingham, WA, where he received a culinary degree. Nicholas also attended Central Oregon Community college and Oregon State University in Bend, OR, for 3 years while living in Redmond, OR. Nicholas dreamed of opening his own Steak and Seafood Restaurant. He loved to cook for family and friends. Nicholas moved back to the Columbia River Gorge area in August, 2018 to be near his mother and friends. 

 Nicholas is survived by his father, Joseph Leroy Spratt, Odell, OR; Mother and Step Father, Sandra and Mark Carter, Wishram, WA; Brother, Joseph E Spratt, Bend, OR; Brother, Travis Kyle Spratt, Prineville, OR; Brother, Danial Spratt, Prineville, OR; Sister, Erin Cornell, Nampa, Idaho; Grandmother, Phyllis Carter, Wishram, WA. He has several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and his beloved companion for the past 10 years.  

He was  preceded in death by his Grandparents, Wilber Straub and Leona Flowers, Mamie and Francis Gaddi, William (Gary) Carter. Aunt and Uncle, Stephanie and Don Carter.  

A celebration of life will be held on March, 28^th, in the Dalles for family and friends, with a graveside service for family and close friends on April 15^th, at 1:00pm at the Carson Cemetery.
