Obituary for Nadine Viola Good

Nadine Viola Good (87) passed away on April 6, 2020 at Mid-Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles, Oregon. Nadine was born on March 6, 1933 in Marcus, Washington to parents Daniel Sterling and Ella Shopia (Brown) Simpson. She had three siblings Daniel, Veryl Waldron, and Jerald.

She attended and graduated from Rogers High School in Spokane, Washington. On March 3, 1951 she married Joseph Arthur Good. Nadine retired from Columbia Lighting.

Many of you know that Nadine had such a passion for life and people. She enjoyed the great outdoors as a child and well into her adult life. There were many large family camping trips. She loved adventure, she was always game to whatever, even if it was not in her best interest. She always thought she was younger than she was and had the “I can do attitude”. Nadine’s greatest passion was her family. She loved each and everyone of them equally and was always there to lend a hand if needed. Her love for family was acquired at a young age when she took on being the historian for our legacy. Her Aunt Hazel told her when she was young that someone needed to take over our heritage and Nadine didn’t think twice about it. She has accomplished so much in her years of recording and photo taking. Many of us would scoff at all the picture takings and gave her such grief but that never stopped her. She recorded every moment of our lives and beyond. For that we are truly blessed. Nadine's love for people didn’t stop there. She had so many friends through her Square dancing groups and her Red hat ladies. She spoke about them often and leaving them when she moved from Spokane to The Dalles in 2018 was the hardest thing for her. She and her Spouse Joseph had a great life. So many great memories, Joseph was her rock, he did everything for her and more. They were made for each other.

She is survived her husband Joseph Good, The Dalles, OR; children Linda Bault, Kathy Campbell and her spouse ValJon Campbell; grandchildren Chad Bault; Lori Bault; Jason Good; Christopher Good; Jamie Campbell; Brian Campbell; Sadie Corwin; Brandy Campbell; Justin Campbell; great-grandchildren Adelaide Bault; Magnolia Bault; Ella Sawyer; Sylis Snyder; Stevie Rae Snyder; Noelle Corwin; Alexa Corwin; Jenna Corwin; Izabella Sweeny; Haley Tompkins; nephew & Nieces Ron Neal; Carol Olson; Rick Simpson; Brian Simpson; Christian Bennet; Jenny Gulick; Colleen Spence; Diane Simpson; Valarie Simpson; Mariann Diggs; Charles Good; Theresa Pare; Peggy DeRoche; Judy Derosia; Roy Good; Robert Good; Glenn Good; Carol Pennington; Tammy Good; Terie Good and so many great nieces and nephews; pets Scamper and Jody. She is preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Ella Simpson; brothers Daniel and Jerald Simpson; sister Veryl Waldron, son David Good; grandson Benjamin Bault and grandson Ethan Vibbard.

Nadine has a plot at the Fairmont Cemetery in Spokane and we will determine at a later date when we can gather to celebrate her life.
