Obituary for Kristopher Grant Robinson
Kristopher “Kris” Grant Robinson passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2021, at OHSU, comforted by his wife, Becky. Kris was 38 at the time of his death.
Kris was born on December 7, 1982, in Roseburg, OR. He was the only child of Barb and Ken Robinson. He married Becky Robinson in 2010. After years of praying and waiting for them, Kris and Becky welcomed their two children, Zoe and Ben into their family in 2015. Kris went right to work passing on his love of movies and superheroes to them. He enjoyed taking the family on adventures and seeing his kids grow into the wonderful children they are today.
Kris was a dedicated, hard worker. He found joy in working, learning new things, and building strong, lasting relationships with his coworkers, many of whom became dear friends. Kris loved his career with the State of Oregon as a manager with DHS, working with the Aging and People with Disabilities. He was always excited to help create new programs, share his knowledge with others, and was passionate about helping people.
Kris is survived by his wife of 11 years, Rebecca “Becky” Robinson (Willems); children, Zoe and Bentley “Ben”; grandma, Bette Burns (Harris), parents Barbara “Barb” Robinson (Burns), and Kenneth “Ken” Robinson and his wife Shelley, in-laws Mark and Sandra (Dawson) Willems, along with many friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Robert “Bob” Burns and his uncle Robert “Bill” Burns.
A funeral is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Vine Street Baptist Church in Roseburg, OR. The Rev. Mark Willems will officiate. There will be a reception following the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kris’ life.
Due to severe allergies, the family requests no flowers in lieu of flowers; donations may be sent to Geneva Academy at 2152 NE Vine St, Roseburg, OR 97470.
