Life Story for Jesus Robles
Jose Jesus Robles passed away with family by his side January 19, 2019 at Providence Saint Vincent’s Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. He was 73 years of age at the time of his passing. Jesus was born March 1, 1945 to parents Rodrigo and Isabel (Flores) Robles in El Refugio, Jalisco, Mexico. He was raised in a rural farming community in Mexico.
He met Elia Huizar in a small town called Colotlan, Jalisco. They were married on September 30, 1969 in Mexico City, Mexico. In 1973 Jesus moved to Hood River, Oregon, leaving his family behind so he could work hard and save funds so that his wife and children could eventually join him. Two years later, his family was able move to the US and he and his wife raised their family in the Hood River Valley. Jesus spent most of his working years as an orchardist.
Jesus was always a loving husband and father. He and Elia had four children; Roberto, Floricel, Jesus, and William. After he retired from Diamond Fruit Company, he dedicated himself to his family and grandchildren. He would hug them and express his love to them constantly. He loved to tend his garden and enjoyed television programs featuring wildlife. He expressed his love of nature and family in paintings and collages. Everything he grew and harvested, he would selflessly give to those dearest to him.
Jesus is survived by his wife of 49 years Elia (Huizar) Robles; and four children Roberto (Melissa) Robles, Floricel (Brian) Dunn, Jesus Robles, and William (Jenna) Robles; siblings, Eliseo Robles, Rodrigo Robles, Armandina Robles, Elida Robles, and Flavino Robles; five grandchildren Madison, Gabriel, Andrew, Brianna, and Evelyn. He was predeceased by his parents Rodrigo and Isabel Robles and an older brother Rigoberto.

Jesús y Elia se conocieron en colotlan, Jalisco, México. El 30 de septiembre de 1969 se casaron en la ciudad de México, México. En 1973 Jesús se vino a Hood River, Oregon dejando a su esposa y familia en Mexico. Mientras él estaba aquí trabajo mucho y junto dinero para poder traer a su familia. Finalmente después de dos años también si familia se pudo mudar a los estados unidos. Juntos hicieron su vida aquí en el valle de Hood River. El paso la mayor parte de sus días de trabajo en la huerta.

Después de retirarse de su trabajo con la compania Diamond Fruit se dedicó a él y a su familia y nietos. Los abrazaba mucho y constantemente les expresaba su amor. Le encantaba atender su jardín y disfrutaba mucho si tiempo viendo sus programas de vida salvaje. Expresaba su amor a la naturaleza y a su familia por medio de fotos y montajes. Todo lo que cosechara en su jardín le gustaba regalar a todos los que más apegados a él.
