Gary Clifford LaVine passed away on April 23, 2022 in The Dalles, Oregon.  Gary was born on September 5, 1945 and was 76 years old at the time of his passing.

Gary was from Newport, Oregon and a resident of The Gorge since 1970. He was a real estate developer and entrepreneur his entire life.  Early on, he was part owner of The Dalles Datsun.  Gary had an inventive mind and was the first in Oregon and Washington to raise ostriches.  Later in life, he raised dogs. He loved seclusion and enjoyed fishing and hunting with his buddies and kids.  He was direct and upfront with all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda.  Also surviving are his sons, David, Mark (wife Karen), and Gary; his step son, Terry (wife Kathy); his step daughter, Debbie; nine grandchildren, and four great grand-daughters.
