Obituary for Gabe Willis Paulk
Gabe Willis Paulk passed away on December 17, 2019 at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital in Hood River, Oregon. Gabe was born in Ocilla, Georgia on July 25, 1928 on a peanut farm. He was 91 years of age at the time of his passing.
Gabe ventured out on his own at 14 working in the shipyards, before joining the Air Force. He spent two years in the Air Force, and then moved to the Navy where he spent 20 years as Chief Petty Officer. After the service he and his wife Bonny G. Meadows opened a bakery, dairy farm, and then he was a butcher until retiring in Tillamook, Oregon.
The couple had three children, Gabe Paulk Jr., Joan Anderson (Paulk), and James E. Paulk.
After his wife Bonny passed away, he move back to the South.
