Obituary for Enrique "Kike" Carranza Sosa
Enrique “Kike” Carranza Sosa passed away June 20, 2021 in Hood River, Oregon. Enrique was born on June 4, 2000 and was 21 years of age at the time of his passing.
Enrique was a son of God even before he was born, he fought for his life when he was born at 7 months with many health complications and was able to overcome them. We moved to Hood River in the 2000’s when he was only 5 months old. Later in life when he was 3 years old he was diagnosed with Leukemia and we never complained to God for this. He was on treatment for 4 years and was able to survive his battle and this was another testimony that God was good and he loves us.
He went to grade school at Pine grove Elementary, then to Wy’East Middle School and did 1 year at Hood River Valley High School when we moved to Mosier. He graduated from Watonka High School in The Dalles.
When Olga was diagnosed with cancer, Enrique was still young was very afraid which was normal for them. She always told them to accept God’s will with love and courage, Olga’s kids and siblings where her support and strength during those difficult times.
God let us borrow Enrique for more time and for that we are grateful for. He is survived by his mother Olga and brother Rigo and many family and friends. On behalf of the Sosa-Dominguez family we want to thank everyone that was with us during this time.
A viewing for Enrique was held 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Anderson’s Tribute Center and his funeral mass was held 10:00 am, Friday, June 25, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (1501 Belmont Ave, Hood River, OR, 97031).

Enrique “Kike” Carranza Sosa falleció el 20 de Junio de 2021 en Hood River, Oregon. Enrique nació el 4 de Junio de2000 y tenía 21 años de edad cuando falleció.
Enrique fue un hijo de Dios que desde antes de nacer fue especial lucho por la vida nació a las 7 meses con muchas complicaciones médicas y logro sobrevivir. Llegamos aquí a Hood River en el año 2000 cuando el apenas tenía 5 meses. A sus 3 años y medio fue diagnosticado con leucemia y nunca renegamos a Dios. Estuvo en tratamiento por 4 años y logro ganar la batalla y fue un testimonio más que dios es bueno y nos quiere.
Enrique estudio la primaria en Pine Grove y su secundaria en Wy’ East y 1un año de prepa en Hood River y nos mudamos a Moiser asi que los últimos 3 años los termino en Watonka High School en The Dalles.
Cuando Olga fue diagnosticada con cáncer sus hijos y sus hermanos fueron su apoyo Enrique estaba joven y tenía mucho miedo el cual era normal y Olga siempre le dijo que lo aceptara con amor y valor porque era la voluntad de Dios.
Dios me lo presto y le doy gracias a dios por el tiempo que estuvo a mi lado. Lo sobreviven su madre Olga y su hermano Rigo junto con sus familiares u amistades. En nombre de la familia Sosa-Dominguez damos las gracias a todas las personas que nos acompañaron.
Un tiempo de velación para Enrique fue de 3:00 – 8:00 pm, jueves, 24 de junio de 2021 en Anderson’s Tribute Center y su misa fúnebre a las 10:00 am, viernes, 25 de junio de 2021 en la iglesia católica St. Mary’s (1501 Belmont Ave, Hood River, OR, 97031).
