Obituary for Doris Ann Bills
Doris Ann Bills passed away in Portland, Oregon on March 15, 2022, at the age of 73 years.
Doris was born in Goldendale, Washington July 16, 1948, to Lewis and Betty Bills. Doris attended school in Goldendale and Graduated Portland State University. Shortly after she graduated Doris joined the Army, where she spent 14 years and traveled to several countries. Her final job was in Portland, Ore working for the U. S. Forestry. She worked there until her health forced her to retire.
Doris is survived by her sister Patricia Lucas of The Dalles and her children Carolyn Layson and Darrell Clemmer of The Dalles, Lyle Crews of Hood River, brother Steven Jones of Goldendale and wife Patty, their children David Jones of Goldendale, Heidi and (Colby) Hernning of Dallesport, WA, nephews Doug Grush and Rick Grush of California, and niece Karen Jones of Virginia. Doris was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Betty Bills, brothers John Jones and Russell Jones, and sister Vickie Grush.
A graveside committal will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 28, 2022 at Willamette National Cemetery (11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd, Portland, OR, 97086). Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson's Tribute Center (Funerals • Receptions • Cremations) 1401 Belmont Avenue, Hood River, Oregon 97031.
