Graveside services for former Hood River Valley resident, Carol Packer will be 12 NOON, Friday, June 3, 2022 at Idlewilde Cemetery of Hood River, Oregon.

Carol was born July 5, 1946 in California, schooled there before she made the move to Hood River at the age of 18 with her good friend, Muriel Kubitscheck.  The Kubitscheck family, Dewey & Muriel, sons, Mel, Martin & Dewey became her family the rest of her life.

Carol passed away at the age of 75, at her home, with family at her side on April 27th, 2022 in The Dalles, Oregon. 

Carol met and married Kenneth (Ken) Packer in 1974.  Ken passed away March 13, 2021.  Together, they raised a son, Desi.  Carol worshipped the ground her daughter-in-law, Amber Bailey walks on.   Carol had a great love for her two grandsons.

Carol’s working career was working for Diamond Fruit before retiring and then became a full time farmer’s wife doing whatever needed to be done to keep the farm operating.  In her spare time, she enjoyed her Avon route and the connection with people around the valley.

Carol loved to play any kind of cards and enjoyed dice games.  She was an excellent seamstress, oved to sew and also enjoyed cooking good food and enjoying it with family and friends.  Her favorite thing to do was to enjoy a meal out with family and good friends.

Carol will be remembered for her interaction with family and friends, her smile & laugh, her ability to talk to anybody, and for the remarkable person she was.
