Beverly Jane Thomas of White Salmon passed away in her home on September 29th, 2023, of congestive heart failure at the age of 86. Bev was born to Wilma Small and John Murphy. 

After graduating from Hood River High School in 1955, she became a part of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. A retired Hood River Valley High School librarian, she volunteered with Friends of the Library and was an active member of Hood River Valley Christian Church.

Bev was an energetic and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She was passionate about making a difference in people's lives, and it shows in the lives she has touched.

Bev is survived by her husband Fred Thomas, her daughters Linda Thomas of White Salmon and Lori Stomps of La Pine, her grandson Brett Stomps of White Salmon, and her sisters Betty Paddock of Hood River and Bonnie Simpson of Rufus.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hood River Valley Christian Church.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 28, at Hood River Valley Christian Church c/o Anderson’s Tribute Center (1401 Belmont Ave, Hood River, OR 97031).
