Condolences

Condolence From: Katie Paul
Condolence: To Christy's whole family, I am so sorry for your loss. I have to say that Mr. & Mrs. Hillen were quite the team at Wy'east and surely two of my favorite teachers! Mrs. Hillen always made the class burst out in laughter & she taught us so much. I remember her being so personable with each student and believing in us. I still have a science project from her class! She will be greatly missed.

Condolence: I'm so sorry for your loss, I remember Mrs. Hillen from middle school when she gave a magnifying glass to use in class and there wasn't anything inside of it so i was looking through an empty magnifying glass for over 20 minutes before i figured out that she had pranked me in front of the whole class; and i still to this day loved how she was the only teacher i ever had who could do that. I'm sorry for your loss and I wish you the best with life!!

Condolence: I'm so, so sorry for your loss. Though it's been many years since I sat in her class, I can still hear Mrs. Hillen saying to "move this pupper over here" in reference to balancing equations like it was this morning. I always looked forward to her class--not something every middle school student says about math. She was a bright spot for me, and gave so much to all of her students. I can only imagine how many lives she has touched. Sending all my love during this awful time.

Condolence: Dennis, Bailey, Shaun, Christy always brought humor, truth and her own style of kind compassion and passion to all she did. She had all of my sons in her class and each one loved her. Her humor and unique teaching style kept them engaged and learning., and as a parent, I was glad they had her. The two of you gave so much to the students that came through Wy'east! Your contributions to our kids will always be remembered. I loved talking with Christy , I knew sometime in the conversation I was going to start laughing and I can't tell you how many times Kathy would tell me funny stories of their escapades and Christy's comments - and we'd laugh again. Our heart grieves with yours and we will miss her always too.

Condolence: Dennis, Bailie, Shaun, How shocked and saddened I am to hear of Christy's death. You are a phenomenal family and Christy was the center. I loved her directness, humor, and compassion. I am so sorry I did not visit at least one of those times I thought fondly of the Hillens and told myself I really need to visit. I am so sorry Christy is no longer with us in this world but she will continue to live in our hearts and memories.
