Condolence From: Nancy Harbert

Condolence: Nick and Sophia were my neighbors for almost 38 years. I miss them a lot.
They were great neighbors and was always a comfort to know if we needed help they were there. They will forever have a special place in my heart.

Condolence From: Owen Carlson

Condolence: Merle was a submarine shipmate of mine in the 1960's, and a fine man. He led his gang well and inspired them. He transferred to the US Army under a program to fill their Viet Nam riverine crews. He retired as a CWO-4 officer.

His last Navy duty was putting the submarine USS RAY (SSN653) into commission. We RAY sailors deeply regret his passing.
