The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of LeeRae Kitchens can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Life Story for LeeRae Kitchens

LeeRae  Kitchens
LeeRae Vyona Kitchens (Clara Allman) of Cascade Locks, Oregon passed away February 25, 2017 at Prestige Care Retirement Community in Camas, Washington. Lee was born May 1, 1943 in Modesto, California and was 73 years old. She was one of seven children born to Omar and Lucille Allman (Hammond). Lee enjoyed spending time with family, bird watching and gardening. She was known for the beautiful flowers in the front of her house.

She is survived by her sisters LaVonne Johnstone, Sarah Allman and Marguerite Finger; her brother Stephen Allman; her children David Champion of California, Dan (Carolynn) Champion of Spokane, Washington, Brett (Dianna) Bible of Vancouver, Washington; grandchildren Danielle, John, Kristal, Raymond and Jamie and numerous great grandchildren. Lee was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Stevie Allman and Leotta Belleville; her husband Don; and her great grandson Christopher.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 10:30AM Saturday March 11, 2017 at Anderson’s Tribute Center (1401 Belmont Ave Hood River, Oregon 97031), followed by a reception. Burial will be private.

The family of Lee Kitchens would like to thank all of the staff and nurses at Prestige Care Retirement Community for taking such amazing care of her. We would also like to thank the nurses of the Washington State Hospice for their care and dedication and for making it as easy as it could be.
