Dorothy Edith Scott went to be home with the Lord on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. All four children were present at the time of her passing.

Dorothy was born in La Grande, Oregon on October 18, 1923, to James Lawrence Collins and Marjorie Olive Kline. She was a graduate of Tigard High School 1941, Tigard, Oregon. She married Ruthford Daniel Scott February 23,1943 and celebrated 70 years of marriage before his death August 2, 2013. Dorothy is survived by her four children, daughter Janine Lee Scott, sons Gary Lynn Scott, James Bradley Scott and Gregory Daniel Scott.

Dorothy has nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a sister, Evelyn J. Tinker of Eugene, Oregon. Three sisters preceded her death, June Louise Adcox, Marjorie Ruth Flaman and Zeta Jeanette Girard. Dorothy, over the years lived in Portland, Klamath Falls, Lebanon, and Medford, Oregon. She and Scotty moved to Trout Lake, Washington in 2005 after building a house with their daughter Janine. They were members of the Mt. Adams Baptist Church and enjoyed fellowship with friends and family in the area. Dorothy’s hobbies included needlepoint, knitting and crocheting. She was also played Bridge and was a Life Master.

A graveside service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery, with Mark Zoller (BZ Corners, Washington) officiating on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 12:30 pm.
