Life Story for Caroline L Nyseth

Caroline Louise Nyseth was born in Hood River Oregon on March 14, 1938 to Frank F. Morby and Bonnie L. White Morby. She was raised in Willard Washington. She attended school in Mill A, and graduated from Stevenson High School.

Caroline and her older brother (Frank E. Morby) always had great stories of being raised in their small community, surrounded by Aunts, Uncles and cousins from the Morby side of the family. She always felt it was a wonderful place to grow up.

In 1964, Caroline Married Jack Nyseth. They lived in Hood River and Caroline worked for Diamond Central for 17 years. They were married 52 years and raised three children. After the children were grown, they followed Jack’s railroad career to La Grande, OR. Then the railroad took them to Hermiston, OR., where they later retired. They were there until Caroline’s illness moved them back to Hood River in October of 2015 to be with family.

Caroline is survived by her husband Jack Nyseth, son Mark Nyseth (Wishram WA), daughter Teresa Deaville and son in law Ken Deaville (Hood River), and daughter Pam Thorton (Hermiston). She is also survived by four granddaughters, Melissa Nyseth (Tacoma), Nicole Deaville (Hood River), Brittany Veira (Parkdale OR), a step grandson Ken Deaville JR (Red Bluff CA), numerous great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandsons. Caroline was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter.

Caroline will always be remembered for her quick wit, being the great grandma that rode all the rides when no one else would, always being ready for a road trip, her love for back roads rides and her love of Ken’s jeep and mudding.

We are so thankful for the lovely memories we made this past year and that we were able to surround her with love, as she went to her next journey.

Per Caroline’s wishes there will be no service, and any donations may be made in her name to Wounded Warrior Project (PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517) or Heart of Hospice (2621 Wasco St, Hood River, OR 97031) through Andersons Tribute Center.

Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson's Tribute Center (Funerals • Receptions • Cremations) 1401 Belmont Avenue, Hood River, Oregon 97031. Visit www.AndersonsTributeCenter.com to leave a note of condolence for the family.
