Condolences

Condolence From: Jim Clapsaddle
Condolence: I knew Bob from Ultra running and training for the Ice Age 50 mile trail run. On one of the training runs, Bob found a beautiful dog on the trails in the woods. Taking the dog to his lake property, Bob tried to find an owner to no avail. He wondered why such a lovely hunting type dog would either run away or be left in the woods.

During the 4th of July fireworks the dog shivered and Bob knew the dog was gun shy and likely left in the woods. As a measure of his character, Bob kept the dog and I believe it was his to keep for many years.

Condolence: I knew Bob as a cross country skier and racer back in the 80s, as a floor clinic instructor at Marquette Dental school, as a co worker for the Wisc. Dept. of Corrections Dental Services. He impressed me as youthful, quite enthusiastic, personable, and fun to be with. He was a good dentist. It is sad to see his passing, he will be remembered always.

Condolence: My condolences to Bob's family. Just happened to read the obit in the Milwaukee Journal, up from Florida. I was one of the noon runners at the Waukesha Y for many years, never as good as Bob and the others. Always enjoyed his great sense of humor.

Condolence: With deepest sympathy for the loss of a good friend, who stood up in our wedding, a fellow skier, runner, and biker, you will be missed, but not forgotten.

Condolence: Ryan and Matt, I was shocked to learn of your dad's passing yesterday. He was such a great guy. I have fantastic memories of staying at his place back in grade school. I remember him sparking some interesting conversations and always making sure every meal we had was top notch. Thinking of you and your families at this time.

Condolence: Ryan and Matt: I am so very sorry to learn of Bob's passing. He was a great friend, running companion and fellow golfer, skier and biker. I met Bob through running at the Y and, for a long time, I thought our group of guys were going to run forever. But, eventually, our knees and hips gave out...Bob with his knees and me with the hip. When I broke my hip while training for a triathlon, Bob insisted that, after I left the hospital, I stay with him until he was sure I could navigate on my own. He used to put a strange concoction of eggs, green veggies and heaven knows what else in a blender and drink it every morning. The very sight of him drinking that green stuff hastened my recovery. He sure loved you guys and was so proud of you both. He was a character and he will be deeply missed.

Condolence: I WAS A PATIENT OF ROBERTS' 30/40 YEARS AGO WHEN HE WAS ON CAPITOL DR. IN MILWAUKEE. I REALLY LIKED HIM AS A DENTIST AND A PERSON. WE ARE THE SAME AGE. VERY SORRY TO HEAR OF HIS PASSING.

Condolence: Ryan and Matt,
We were so sorry to hear of your father's death.
Your Dad and I were fraternity brothers, dental school classmates and practice colleagues. We have great memories of the times we spent together. We shared many laughs and that is what we will remember into the future. This September 24th we celebrate the 45th year of our Dental School graduation from Marquette. We will save a place for your Dad.
With a heavy heart,
Dan and Patty
