Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Del August Gierke can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: My sympathies and condolences to you on the passing of Del. I remember Del very well from when I taught at Cascade Locks. He was a generous, spontaneous and kind boy. I was very sorry to hear of his death.

I want you all to know the reach of his friendship stretches far and wide accross this country. Prevously residents of Cascade locks - I am now in Minnesota, my daughter now living in California. I know he brought good times and much love to their friendship. Her heart is heavy. My heart too aches at this loss.
Reach out and support one another in this great time of need. I know the day will come when you all meet again, in God's promise.

Condolence: I woke up this morning, my second morning looking at Facebook for the first time in over 2 years and I see your memorial. Going back in my memories, I can't believe how much time we spent together in the few years we knew each other. You were the the third person I ever kissed. In loving memory of you Del. I know it's been over 10 years since we've even spoke but I've never forgot about you. My brother is already in heaven and I know he will always watch out for you. Justin is a great watcher. You'll get my meet my dog Bobo too, he made it to heaven in June just like my brother did. Del, please let your soul rest in peace. Although there's been so many years between us, your death has me fogged. Thank you for letting me be apart of your life for the time that I was around. You were and are an amazing spirit and everyone who loved you will always forever hold you in their hearts, and the ones who didn't know you that well, would of loved you the minute they met you. Rest in peace.
