Anna Bell Olson from Hood River OR passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family May 21, 2016 at Hawks Ridge assisted living facililty where she received excellent loving care from all of her caregivers.
Anna was born on April 30, 1942 in Cascade Idaho to Herman and Mazie Baumeister. She was the third of six children. Two older brothers Lee Baumeister of Bremerton WA, and Frank Baumeister of Reno NV. Her two younger sisters Ellen Watkins of Idleyld, OR, Betty Graham of San Carlos Mexico, and her late younger brother William Baumeister of Idleyld, OR.
She married the love of her life Martin Thomas Olson August 6, 1960 in Roseburg Or. They were married for thirty seven years before his passing on April 30,1997. To this union they had four children. Martina Olson, Elaine Kubitscheck, Tonia Tripp, and Montgomery Olson.
Anna was a hard worker with an outstaning work ethic. She worked for many restraunts as a cook. She retired from cooking after twenty two years at the Hood River Care Center. She was loved and respected by the residents and coworkers. She enjoyed needle point and many other crafts. Her favorite pass time was spending time laughing with her family. She had an amazing sense of humor. All who knew her loved her and her sence of humor and her ability to laugh and joke through adversity.
Anna is loved by and will be missed by her daughter, Martina Olson, and son-in-law Steve Hamilton of Yachats, OR, daughter Elaine, and son-in-law Martin Kubitscheck of Hood River OR, daughter, Tonia Tripp, and son-in-law Dusty Rhodes of Odell OR, son Montgomery, and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Olson, of Hood River OR. She is also survived by her grandchildren Christy and Melisa Tripp, Zachary King, Nicole Todd, Ian Buckland, Amanda Todd, Jacob Kubitscheck, Sadie and Brea Olson, Billy Broderick, Derek Tripp,Corben Olson and Brody Knight. Anna also had eight great grandchildren.Many nieces and nephews and other extened family and friends who she loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother William Baumeister, grandson Lucas King, and her husband Tom Olson.
A open potlatch and Celabration of life will be held at The Hood River Eagles Lodge 2290 Tucker Rd, Hood River OR June 4, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.
