Life Story for Neoma (Herman) Richmond
Neoma Lucille (Herman) Richmond, passed away April 18th, 2016 in Gresham, Oregon surrounded by family. Neoma was born January 31, 1928 and was 88 at the time of her passing.Services are planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Anderson's Tribute Center (Funerals • Receptions • Cremations) 1401 Belmont Avenue, Hood River, Oregon 97031. Graveside Rites will follow at the Mosier Cemetery.
Neoma was born in Antlers, Oklahoma to Frank & Maggie Herman. She moved at an early age to Mosier with family. On March 17, 1950 Neoma married Ray Richmond in The Dalles, Oregon. She and Ray made their home and raised their family in The Dalles and then in the 1960’s moved to Portland. Neoma was an agent for the Oregon Journal / Oregonian from 1965 – 1998 and was the top salesman her entire 33 year career. Neoma also came back to the Columbia Gorge working seasonally for AGA and Diamond fruit packaging. Ray preceded Neoma in death and she is also predeceased by her brothers, Hugh, J.C., Jay, Slick and Gerald; and sister, Elaine Huskey.
She was a wonderful and caring woman to all and is survived by her children; Diane Mousley, Tom Richmond, Patricia Richmond; daughter-in-law, Annette Richmond; grandchildren, Dustin Mousley, Christa McClanahan, Marcus Richmond, Alyssa Richmond; grandson-in-law, Naithan McClanahan; great grandson, Kalvyn McClanahan; brother, LeeRoy Herman; and numerous other distant family and many, many friends she has collected over the years.
