Life Story for Nadine Addison

Nadine Addison
Nadine Addison of Gresham, Oregon passed away peacefully on October 5, 2015, with family and friends by her side. She was 92 years old.

Nadine was born on April 16, 1923 in California, Missouri to Charley and Lena (Borghardt) Inglish. Her fondest memories were of growing up on the family farm, with her brother, John. Toward the end of the Great Depression, the family moved to Hood River, Oregon where she graduated from Hood River High School.

During World War II, Nadine worked for the Oregon State Highway Department, where she met and married Lawrence Addison. After the war, the couple moved to the Willamette Valley and started a family. In 1952 the family moved to Parkdale, Oregon. Nadine worked for Diamond Fruit Growers until her retirement.

Nadine loved the outdoors, from mountains to oceans. She enjoyed camping, fishing and long family car rides. She liked to travel and visited almost every state. She was very talented, enjoying numerous crafts and hobbies. She particularly liked knitting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing, ceramics and painting. Many of her creations won awards at fairs and craft shows.

Nadine is survived by her three sons: Marvin Addison, of Gresham, Oregon; Dale (Debbie) Addison, of Beaverton, Oregon; Larry (Linda) Addison of Waldport, Oregon and two granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Addison, her brother John Inglish, and her parents Charley and Lena Inglish.

Nadine will be interred at Idlewilde Cemetery, next to her husband, near her parents and grandparents at 12 noon on Saturday, October 17th, 2015. Friends are invited to a time of viewing from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Anderson's Tribute Center, 1401 Belmont Avenue, Hood River, Oregon 97031.
