Obituary for Robert Daniel Nash

Robert Daniel Nash
Robert Daniel Nash, 50, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, at his home in Hood River, Ore. Robert was born Dec. 4, 1964, at the Hood River Memorial Hospital to David and Patsy Nash. He loved to call me Mother!

Robert lived his whole life on the same property. When his grandparents passed away he tore down their old house and put his home in its place, and lived there until the time of his death.
He attended college in Arizona for a year.

Robert loved the outdoors, going camping, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and motorcycle riding. In his hunting years he killed a lot of bull elk. He loved to go camping with his friends, cousins, and sister and husband. He also bowled in a fall bowling league.

Robert worked for ZZ Logging for 14 years. At the time of his death he had worked for Hood River County for 12 years. He loved his fellow workers and loved his job.

He was a good son, brother, uncle, cousin, and had many friends. He will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by siblings Joni Capps and Steve, Amy Lively and Mike; aunts and uncles, cousins and a very special cousin, Lonnie Nash; lots of very good friends; nephews and niece; two grandnieces and their mother, Lindsay; and his faithful dog, Jackson - who will dearly miss the gentle touch he would receive from Robert! Jackson would lay under the tree waiting for him to come home from work.

He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and a brother (at age 6 months).

A memorial service will be held at Valley Christian Church (975 Indian Creek Road, Hood River) at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2nd, 2015.

Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson’s Tribute Center (Funerals • Receptions • Cremations), 1401 Belmont Ave., Hood River, OR 97031; 541-386-1000. Please visit www.andersonstributecenter.com to leave a note of condolence for family.
