Condolence: I was one of Bette's gymnastics students, and blessed to be counted among the many she had! Such a beautiful, vivacious person, always there for others. May the Benjamin family and all Bette's family and friends find peace at this time. She is one loved lady who has left quite a legacy and is greatly missed.

Condolence: Bette was my high school chemistry partner in Mr. Griffith's class. Always so vivacious and fun. She always took such great photographs. She will be missed by many.

Condolence: Dear Benjamin Family- Mrs Benjamin as I called her when she taught me at Wyeast Middle School, was my favorite teacher. She gave me hugs and smiles and encouraged me to be a good girl. I remember we would do folk dances and activities for PE and she made them so fun. Later, I would love to see Mrs. Benjamin at Rosauers when I was a grocery checker. Condolence: Dear Rick, Bette and you fill my memories as far back as they go. From gymnastics in the 70s (which I still remember my routine and showed Bette nearly 30 years later) to my years with her at Pine Grove. I feel so lucky to have got to bask in her loveliness and light. She spread such love and kindness to everyone and she talked about her love for you and her family to everyone. Bette was not only my favorite teacher at the time, but also a wonderful role model for me when I was in Junior High. I never thought of myself as athletic, but she taught me that I could set my own goals and achieve them. She helped me to earn confidence in who I was, and to believe in myself and my abilities. This was a profound message to a 13 year old girl. I was fortunate to have her as a neighbor and friend as I grew older, and I was blessed by her generous heart and kindness. She wasn't one to make small talk. She always cared deeply and wanted to talk about the things that matter in life: relationships, loved ones. She made the most of every day and valued everyone who crossed her path. She was an amazing and beautiful human being. I am so grateful that she was in my life. I send my love to all of you.
