Obituary for Travis Gordon Putnam

Travis Gordon Putnam passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Providence Portland Medical Center. Travis was born in Hood River, Oregon on December 3, 1973 and was 41 years of age at the time of his passing. His primary residence over the years has been Hood River and The Dalles.
Travis fathered and Jody Bell gave birth to in 1993 his surviving daughter, Alanna Putnam of The Dalles, Oregon. He is also survived by his parents Gordon and Vicki (Gehrig) Putnam of Hood River, Oregon and Abby Brown Putnam of The Dalles, Oregon; brother, James Putnam of The Dalles, Oregon; grandmother, Patricia Carney Putnam of Phoenix, Arizona; aunts, uncles, cousins and other distant family and many friends.
In his school days wrestling and football were his favorite sports, he excelled in both. As to the outdoors, he loved fishing and hunting, and teaching his daughter to fish and with her when she caught her first! Travis also had a love for all animals, but especially dogs.
In 2002, Travis was in a diving accident that left him a quadriplegic. He faced this adversity with courage, honor & dignity. He wore a cap that read “FBI” which stood for “Firm Believer In CHRIST” these were words he believed in.
“I Love You” was always what you heard as his final salutation.
“TRAVIS WE LOVE YOU, TOO!”
