Condolence From: Shirley Huckaby Pfaff
Condolence: Ed was like a brother to me when I was growing up. He and my brother Ernest Huckaby were the best of friends. He spent a lot of time at our home. I will never forget one Easter, he received a big Easter basket and he felt he was too grown up for it and he gave it to me. As a young girl, I was a happy camper when he gave it to me. I knew Delores and she was a wonderful woman. They were blessed with 4 children and one of them, Sharon, became my niece through marriage. We share a special friendship. My prayers go out to Harriet,Sharon, Eddie,Steve, Mike and the rest of the family. God bless each of you.

Condolence: To "The Kelly Kids"
We are the children of George(Chow) and Ruth Aubert. George was a childhood friends of your Grandfather Ambrose Kelly. They grew up in Parkdale together. When your grandfather died, your dad was quite young, and our dad worried about Ed, and tried to be supportive when he could. He was especially pleased when your dad joined the service, married your mother and started raising the four of you. Mom and Dad cared very much for Ed and Delores.
When your Dad was in Viet Nam, you kids and your mom were here in Parkdale. Mom and Dad tried to be supportive to your mother. You were all strong and worked hard and did well. Once your mother had planned to go to Hawaii to be with your dad for R. and R. and I think your grandma was going to stay with you and she got sick at the last minute. You all stayed with Ruth and Chow so that your Mom could spend time with your Dad. You were such troopers, especIally the two youngest boys, because you really didn't know them very well. Your bravery endeared you to my Mother, and she and Dad became even more fond of your whole family. Your Mom and Dad were very special to our parents. Your dad made a beautiful wedding cake for their 50th wedding anniversary celebration.
We want to extend our condolences to all of you at your Dad's passing. We do not know Harriet, but she sounds like a lovely lady, and we would like to extend our condolences to her and her family as well. Your parents and you kids were an important part of our parents lives and we know that they would want to be supportive of you again in your loss. Blessings to all of you. Love, Marie, Leonard and LaVelle Aubert.

Condolence: I worked for HR County when Ed was the Veterans' Service Officer. He was a very nice man & always had a smile. He was so HAPPY when I quit smoking in 1998! Still smoke free today. You were good for him, Harriet. My condolences to the family.

Condolence: Dear Harriet and Kelly kids: I am so sorry to hear about Ed's passing. My work with him a few years ago hold precious memories of him and of his very special family. The pleasure he got from dogs, even coming out to my car to greet my own Chloe despite his infirmities touched my heart. I so enjoyed his love for you, Harriet, and his kids, and keen sense of humor. The world is less blessed without him. Take good care of yourselves. Lynne
