Condolences

Condolence From: KAREN NICHOLSON
Condolence: Condolences to Greg's family.

Greg and I grew up together, and shared a lasting friendship and love. I am so proud of him when I read the wonderful things people have to say about who he became as a man. News of his passing is new to me tonight. My heart is broken. He most certainly made the world a better place. With so much love. Karen

Condolence: Early this year Greg came in and sat at the back of my guitar class a couple of times during his breaks on campus in Hood River. His Gibson acoustic steel string guitar was of museum quality and Greg played it with love and respect. Between that kicker guitar and his total passion for learning, I was considering giving Greg a lifetime scholarship wherever I teach.

Condolence: I didn't know Greg as well as I would have liked to, but his gentle speech and smile, and his kindness, touched me. My sympathy and love to all those who are losing a special friend and member of the family. Clearly, Greg will be missed.

Condolence: My kids and Greg's kids went to school together, and I had the privilege to have known him for many years. His sense of humor was extraordinary. He will be missed more than words can express. A wonderful human being and a super dad. His children were the most important thing in his life, and he boasted about them often. He was a passionate man, with strong morals, and I will miss his laughter and smile very much. Thoughts and prayers to his family for this tragic loss.

Condolence: I had the privilege of working with Greg at the Indian Creek Campus. He was kind and had such a gentle spirit for those in need. His sense of social justice was deep and enduring. I will miss your posts on Facebook reminding us the world could be a better place. I will always remember the salsa you and Dave would make for us. Thank you, Greg for being part of the fabric woven at the Campus. You will always be in my heart.

Condolence: Hey Steve! Hi Gary!
That is how we always greeted each other when we met or snuck up on each other at the grocery store. We laughed at how frequently people called us by the wrong name that week, even that very day. We worked together in real estate and I applauded him for his outstanding success in baking, a true art. Greg is not gone from my ear because, I will always hear his deep voice when I see a Carrot Cake. But none like that one he had made for a man he lovingly called Steve!! Bon Appetit Gary..... Love, "Steve"

Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear about losing Greg. I worked with him through Big Brothers Big Sisters. He was such a caring, gentle soul. I hope he is at peace, and that you too will find peace. We were blessed to have him for as long as we did.

Condolence: I have known and been friends with Greg since we were sophomores at Sequoia High School. We grew up together with a group of friends that, later in life, got married, had children, had careers and some were lucky enough to retire. In recent years we stayed connected on Facebook. Greg posted some poignant thoughts, great photos and a lot of humor. To his children and sister Chris I will miss him and his friendship.
