1972 motorcycle trip

My brother, Drew and I decided to tour America on motorcycles in 1972 after returning home from a tour of duty in Vietnam. One of our stops was to visit our relatives, in Hood River, OR. We did not know what to expect, since we knew so very little about our Aunt Frances and cousins. Well, Aunt Frances greeted us with open arms and insisted on us staying with her at her home instead of a motel. She and her husband King Benton treated us as part of the family. We met and got to know our cousins, enjoyed some great meals and were taken around to see the local sights. I especially remember a trip up Mt. Hood to the snow cap in July. That really made an impression on both of us, since we had been living in Florida for some years. We will never forget her hospitality and generousity during our visit.
