The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Robert "Bobby" Kahler can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear of Bobby's passing away.
I remember him as a sweet little boy that I babysat for when I was a teenager.
You have my deepest sympathy.

Condolence: My Mom (Aunt Gladys) thought a lot of Bobby, and would talk with him at the Family Reunions! Then, later, should would say how much she enjoyed seeing him, and all the other "Kahler Kids". Janella and I are sad to see such a good guy, leave us so soon, but the faith of our Grandma Arlene tells me that he is there with all those who have gone on before us. I look forward to seeing all of them again.

Hugs to Richard and Margaret and all the rest!

Bud.

Condolence: Bobby was an excellent farmer. Our orchared is across the street from his Portland Drive block, and I've always admired Bobby's ability to make his orchard look amazing. It is an example for all other orchardists to follow. He was an extremely hard worker, and a nice neighbor. From time to time he would stop and ask about our family. Every Fall he would bring a bin of pears for my wife to use for her fruit leather and pear sauce projects that provided yummy snacks for our girls during the school year. He was complimentary about our kids and our family, and we appreciated his kindness.

We hope Bobby is someplace amazing, racing around on a tractor, with his shirt off in the sun, and a beloved dog or two chasing after him.
