Life Story for Rae Bea Hinrich

Rae Bea  Hinrich
Rae B. Hinrich passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Brookside Manor in Hood River, Oregon with family by her side. Rae was born December 6, 1932 in Vancouver, Washington to Elton and Eveline (Erickson) Jones and was 81 at the time of her passing.

Services are planned for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Hood River Valley Christian (975 Indian Creek Road, Hood River, OR 97031) with Dr. David Presley and Chaplain Clyde Sanda with a reception to follow with private Graveside services following.

Rae graduated from Franklin High School in Portland, Oregon and then continued her education at a Portland business college. Within her career life Rae worked as an Avon representative and caregiver working in our local care facilities and hospital; also worked at Hood River Valley Christian Church. She prided herself on perfection and a job well done.

On June 26th, 1954 she married Robert (Bob) Lee Hinrich; they were blessed to raise their family during the 1950s, 60s and 70s in Hood River.

Rae enjoyed nature being part owner of a cabin on the Northwest Lake and loved the great outdoors. She took weaving lessons in Portland; loved cooking having a large cook book collection as cooking was her passion. She also enjoyed gardening and other crafts. She enjoyed giving, she was a giver to all whom she knew

Survivors include; Brothers Lawrence Jones (& Jan), Vern Jones, Sister-In-Law, Joanne Jones, Children; Debbie Fateley (& Ron) of Hood River, Steve Hinrich (& Judi) of Mesa, Arizona, Rob Hinrich (& Pam) of Sandpoint, Idaho, Christine Nance (& Walter) of Hood River and Cheryl Neal (& Jeff) of Douglas, Wyoming; 11 grandchildren, Justin Frazier, Ryan Frazier, Josh Fateley, Heather Hinrich, Matt Hinrich, Aaron Hinrich, Dan Hinrich, Beth McMullen, Maria Diessner, Chelsea Tadena & Luke Nance; 24 great grandchildren, Dalton, Meighan, Bailey, Joey, Dylan, Addison, Andrea, Sarah, Elly, Kayla, Kelsey, Johnny, Aurora, Ivy, Rain, Jack, Harper, Sydney, Selah, Serra, Aeris, Arthis, Lily & Zoe; and other distant family and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorials are encouraged to be made in Rae’s name to Heart of Hospice Foundation in care of Anderson’s Tribute Center.
