Maria Guadalupe-Marquez passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Providence St. Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by those she loved at age 48 due to complications of previous medical conditions. Maria was born December 9, 1965 to Ramon and Paula Figueroa in Huautla Morelos Mexico.

A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for 10:00am., Wednesday, December 18th, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (1501 Belmont Ave. Hood River); Visitation prior at Anderson’s Tribute Center, Tuesday December 17th, 2013 from 4:00-8:00pm (1401 Belmont Ave. Hood River, Oregon 97031).

Maria enjoyed reading in her free time and going on walks; her most precious time however was spent with her family. The family describes Maria as faithful in her religion, loving, kind and giving. Maria and Jose Luis married in 1992 here in Hood River. She worked as a fruit packer at a packing house prior to her illness.

Maria is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband Jose Luis of 22 years, daughter Thalia, son Jose Luis, Jr. along with many other family members and friends.

Memorials are encouraged to be made in Maria’s name to American Cancer Association.
