Blanche Josephine Drapal passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Columbia Basin Care Facility in The Dalles, OR. Blanche was born January 8, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois to John Drapal and Josephine (Witt).

Blanche was born one of 6 children to immigrant parents. She graduated from Fenger High School, worked her entire life and retired from the Federal Government after 30 years of service.

Blanche is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter Hope and son-in-law Richard of Mosier, Oregon, her two sisters Mary Renk and Lillian Schmidt of California, along with many nieces and nephews.

Services are planned for a later date in her childhood town of Chicago, IL.

Memorials are encouraged to be made in Blanche’s name to Providence Hospice of the Gorge.
