Obituary for Donald "Don" Sperber

Donald "Don"  Sperber
Donald “Don” James Sperber passed away August 2, 2013 at St. Vincent Medical Center, Portland, Oregon. He was born July 17, 1931 and was 82 at the time of his passing.

Don was born at Tillamook, Oregon and grew up and attended schools there. In 1951 Don joined the United States Army stationed at the Hanford Site in Washington until his discharge in 1953.

On July 3, 1955 married Marie Annette Lawry in Portland, Oregon. Don and Marie moved to Hood River where Don began his career as an electrician working for Diamond Fruit Company. He was a family man and enjoyed camping, fishing and riding motorcycles. He also enjoyed traveling around Oregon with family.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Marie Annette Lawry Sperber of Hood River, children: Mark Sperber of White Salmon, WA and Jeff Sperber of Redmond, Oregon; grandchildren, Daniel, Joshua, Nicky and Jessica; and other distant family. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters.

Services are planned for 12:30 p.m., Monday, August 12th, 2013 at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon. Pastor Terry Abbott of River of Life Assembly will officiate.
