Katie Bit Adam
I had the pleasure of watching Katie and Adam for a couple of weeks, while Sue had a lot of HR School business to attend to. Everything went along great. Sue would drop the kids off for a couple of hours, and the kids would play with my little Katie.
On the very last day, after being put down for a rest Adam started to scream. This coincided with Sue walking up to the door. We walked into the bedroom together, and there is poor Adam with a perfect imprint on his back of his sister's full set of teeth.
After she calmed Adam down and admonished Katie, she handed me a thank you- good-bye gift of a cute ceramic teapot, which I cherished for years.
Unbeknown to Sue, she became a mentor to me. She taught me what a confident, professional, intelligent and beautiful woman looked like and acted like. I will never forget her, and continue to carry her close to my heart.
