Robert Richard Leonard, “Rick” passed away in Portland, Oregon this February 4th, 2013. Rick was born March 14, 1960 in Hood River to Leroy “Dick” and Ada Jane Leonard.

Rick grew up in Hood River attending local schools and graduated from Hood River High School. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, mushrooming, berry picking and just being in the outdoors. Rick also enjoyed watching the Portland Buckaroo’s who later became the Portland Winterhawks hockey team.

Rick married Lorinda Pendarvis on August 14, 1996 in Wallowa, Oregon and they made their home in Hood River. Rick worked for Paddock’s Appliance in Hood River as a repair technician.

Rick is survived by his wife, Lorinda Leonard; daughter Sarah Durnez; two sons, Robert Durnez, III and Kim Durnez; parents, Leroy “Dick” and Ada Jane Leonard; brother, Gene Cooper; sisters, Muriel Jane Darr, Janet Larsen (and husband, Clay), Ma’cHele Rawlings (and husband, Garry); five nephews; 2 nieces; five great nephews; three great nieces; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

A memorial service is planned for 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 15th, 2013 at the Hood River Nazarene Church (2168 Belmont Drive).
