Dolores M. Haire of White Salmon, Washington passed away Monday, November 12, 2012 at the Hood River Care Center of Hood River, Oregon. She was 84 years of age at the time of her passing.

Dolores was born June 12, 1928 in Medina, North Dakota to John and Bertha (Wahl) Miller. She graduated from high school in Mullan, Idaho where she played the snare drum in the band, was an avid swimmer, played tennis and shared her beautiful soprano singing voice.

She married Gerald C. Haire in Spokane, Washington on September 12, 1947. They raised their two daughters; Shannon Marie and Miriam Louise in San Jose, California, where the family lived for more than 40 years. Dolores worked most of her life as a bookkeeper, staying active in her girl’s lives, swimming, enjoying music and reading.

Dee and Jerry retired in 1989 and moved to Bend, Oregon. With the passing of her husband in 1993 she moved to White Salmon, Washington to be near family where she was actively involved in the Ladies of the Elk’s Lodge.

Dee is survived by her daughters; Shannon M. Buscho and son-in-law Larry of Applegate, Oregon and Miriam L. Thompson and son-in-law, Jerry of Chapman, Nebraska; two grandsons, Justin Buscho and wife, Jessica and Jarrod Thompson and wife, Kelly Kruger; and five great grandchildren, Gianna Buscho, Connor Buscho, Brennan Buscho, Jadyn Thompson & Cole Thompson. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters; Toni Verley & Jacqueline Dickinson.

Memorials may be made in Dolores’s name to the American Red Cross and sent care of Anderson's Tribute Center, 1401 Belmont Avenue, Hood River, Oregon 97031.
